Remove excess stem from collard greens and inspect thoroughly for insects and damaged leaves. Wash collard greens thoroughly in cold water, wash until water is clear. Combine one cup of water, turkey parts (remove meat from bones prior to cooking), butter, garlic and onion in a large pot, bring to a boil. Let ingredients simmer in pot for about five (5) minutes and then add clean collard greens. Sprinkle Lawrys seasoning salt directly onto collard greens. Cover pot with a top and let cook under a medium flame for 30-40 minutes or until tender. Serves 5-7 people. Add hot sauce, hot peppers and a piece of cornbread.
