Rael Jackson: Newly Appointed President of REAL MEN COOK
CHICAGO (March 18, 2013) –Real Men Charities, producers of the Annual Father’s Day tradition, Real Men Cook®, has just named Rael Jackson as the new president.
The 24th Annual Real Men Cook® event will be held Father’s Day, June 16th at the Ray & Joan Kroc Salvation Army Center 1250 W 119th St in Chicago, IL, and at The Georgia World Congress Center, 285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA.
Real Men Cook was founded to promote positive images of men in relationship to their families and communities. Annually, over 1,200 men volunteer nationally to cook for nearly 30,000 attendees. Real Men Cook has changed the way Father’s Day is celebrated and has uplifted the importance of fathers and men stepping forward.Real Men Cook event has generated over $1 million to community nonprofits. President Barack Obama, Congressman Danny Davis, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Lennox Lewis, Steve Harvey, Art Norman and hundreds of politicians, celebrities and athletes have participated over the past 24 years.
“The 24th Annual Real Men Cook marks a new beginning as we invite the next generation to join us to make difference,” adds Rael Jackson, the newly appointed President of Real Men Cook. His appointment answers the call for second generation legacy leadership. Mr. Jackson’s parents launched Real Men Cook 24 years ago.This year’s Real Men Cook will also feature a Gospel Explosion featuring Chicago Churches’ choirs, liturgical dancers and bands. A kids Zone with pony rides, face painting and interactive games, health and Wellness pavilions with free health screenings.
Rael is also the Co-founder and Chief Brand Strategist for Brand Rally. The Barbershop Tour, and with fifteen years experience in brand building and marketing, Rael has created multi-million dollar brands for Hollywood’s biggest entertainers and corporations.
One of his celebrated brands is Sundress Day, Celebrating women and empowering them.
He participated in White House Briefing on Digital Divide, co-hosted MOBE White House Briefings on African-Americans in Business & Technology with his advanced marketing symposium, Marketing Opportunities in Business & Entertainment (MOBE).
MOBE received commendations for marketing innovation from both President William J. Clinton and President George W. Bush. Rael has re-branded the National Urban League Young Professional seminars and was responsible for standing-room only panels, and increased overall Urban League conference participation at the Annual National Conference. Under his leadership as Brand Strategist, Real Men Cook has generated an average of 250 million media impressions annually.
In 2001 Mr. Jackson co-launched the mobile content provider, UrbanWorld Wireless. Shortly after, Rael has created successful brands for some of Hollywood’s biggest entertainers, major corporations, politicians, radio personalities and minority businesses globally. While hosting a Real Men Cook community awareness event about the Census, Rael was handpicked and appointed to work with the United States Census as a partnership specialist, where he developed partnerships with community organizations to promote participation with the 2010 Census. He developed and created refresher training programs and agenda for Senior Partnership Specialists and Team Leaders in the Chicago Region (Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin), which was the top region in the country as defined by response rates amongst 12 regions.
Rael received his BS in Biology at Florida A&M University and continuing education in Integrated Marketing at University of Chicago. He serves as a member of the board of the non-profit, Real Men Charities, Inc and is an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and participates in activities to forward the mission which is to build healthy families and communities.Rael lives with his wife and bonus child in University Park, Illinois.
